Purpose: Methods: Results: Conclusion: Case report A 2 year old Chinese girl, adopted at the age of one, presented with leucocoria. On examination an open funnel retinal detachment was found with telangiectatic vessels in the periphery of the retina. On ultrasonography no calcifications and no solid mass was seen. MRI confirmed these findings. M. Coats or posttraumatic retinal detachment were considered as differential diagnosis. As secondary glaucoma developed shortly after, the eye was enucleated. Histopathology revealed a diffusely infiltrating retinoblastoma.
