EPOS
European Paediatric Ophthalmological Society
Invitation
Dear friends of EPOS,
I would like to invite all colleagues and scientists interested in the field of Paediatric and Genetic Ophthalmology to attend the 30th Conference of EPOS, that will be held from October 14th to October 16th at the Lowry Museum, Manchester, England. Our hosts and local organizers are Mr. Chris Lloyd, Mr. Graeme Black and Mr. Susmito Biswas.
The main topic is ”Developmental Genes and the Eye”. But as always, free papers will also be accepted. Please notice that EPOS is not interested in papers on strabismus as there are several international societies that very efficiently cover this field.
Submission of abstracts
and registration for the meeting has started on April 1, 2004, and
will be possible online only.
You will find all further details regarding accommodation, fees etc.
on this homepage.
Deadline for abstract submission is July
18, 2004.
At the same time I would like to encourage you and your colleagues to become a member of the EPOS to benefit from the online resources for members and reduced registration fee for the annual meeting. The Discussion Board enables you to discuss clinical questions with expert members (http://epos-focus.org/board/). Members-in-training will be granted reduced fees on request. A growing EPOS will help to further promote Paediatric Ophthalmology throughout Europe.
As the Society intends to
encourage young scientists to participate all presenters born
after May 1972 can apply for a travel grant.
This year, a total of 3 travel grants of 400 € each will be given
to young presenters.
The deadline for travel grant application for 2004 is June
15, 2004.
The application should be sent to my address:
Looking forward to welcome you in Manchester
Prof. Dr. med. Birgit Lorenz
President of EPOS
