Annual Meeting 2008 - Invitation

Dear Friends, dear Colleagues,

It is my pleasure to cordially invite you to the 34th meeting of the European Paediatric Ophthal- mological Society - EPOS - to be held in Leuven, Belgium.

The main topic of EPOS 2008 will be “The Eye in Systemic Disease”. Free papers and posters from other fields of genetic and paediatric ophthalmology are also welcome. However, strabismus and related topics do not form part of the meeting.

EPOS aims to promote both clinical and scientific paediatric and genetic ophthalmology throughout Europe and beyond, and aims, in particular, to attract young clinicians and researchers to the field. In this spirit, a fellowship programme as well as travel grants and best presentation awards have been made available. For more detail, please visit the website of the Society www.epos-focus.org. The format of the meeting with keynote lectures, scientific papers with sufficient time for discussion, and ample poster sessions allows for a vivid exchange of ideas. Longstanding relations between many members of EPOS and an open mind to integrate newcomers in the field are excellent opportunities for building up successful collaborations and fruitful personal contacts.
